As we have already endured a very hot summer here in the Portland area, it’s important to know that the heat is not yet ready to let up.
Portland had a high of 103 degrees yesterday, which is only 4 degrees shy of the record for the date of 107 degrees set in 1965. That 107 degrees is the highest temperature ever recorded in Portland. Now that is what we call hot.
Thursday’s temperature was the first 100 degree day in Portland since August 2012, and the hottest day in Portland since July 2009, when it hit 106 degrees. Thursday was the 20th day this year when the temperature reached or exceeded 90 degrees in Portland.
With all these hot temperatures, it’s important to keep your air conditioning running at it’s best. We have been extremely busy helping our customers keep their air conditioners running, and we can do the same for you.
As Portland will likely reach 100 degrees today, and stay in the low 90’s through the weekend, contact us today if your air conditioner needs servicing.
