Community Garden Article in the Sandy Post

Sandy's Helping Hands

Recently, Sandy’s Helping Hands helped create a salad garden in the heart of Bornstedt Park in Sandy Oregon.

The goal in creating this community garden is to help feed local people, who otherwise may not have access to fresh vegetables.

The garden got off to a great start with a wonderful donation of tomato plants from Sandy’s FFA (Future Farmer’s of America).

The garden has at least two full beds dedicated to donations for the Sandy Senior Center and the Sandy Community Action Center for the boxes and meals they provide for seniors.
