Daikin Ductless Mini Split Heat Pump – Is it for You??
Friday, September 24th, 2010
Good Morning Troutdale!!!! =)
Ok, so you have come to the conclusion that here it is only September in Gresham Oregon and it is starting to feel like winter! How do I know?? Well, I am sitting in our office and I noticed the heat has to be on for me to be comfortable. As you are doing your research on heat pumps you come across a Daikin Ductless Mini Split and start to wonder if this might be the fit for you and your home. With “Green” being the new it color for all of us, it gives older homes and finished rooms a efficient and look that can fit into any home style you may have.
What is a ductless mini split heat pump and how can it benifit you???. The Concept ductless mini split heat pumps pull thermal heat from cold air. When thermal air is processed by a refrigerant cooled appliance, the heat will dissipate from the air and into the appliance. The heat is captured by a compressor/condenser and then pumped through small flexible conduits to an interior ductless mini split heat pump air handler. Now that is a huge mouthful for a girl like me, but I know there are customers that like to hear the mechanics behind a product.
Usage ductless mini split heat pumps can replace bulky window, or single room air conditioners. They are far better replacements for rusting whole house, or single room evaporative that some of us have purchased in a pinch. Ductless mini split heat pumps can go where conventional heat pumps can’t, like remodeled, or room additions with problematic architecture, or flat roofs. A Daikin Mini split ductless heat pumps offer a great alternative, besides they also make wood stoves and electric, or propane space heaters obsolete. Installation is simple because Daikin ductless mini split heat pumps need a three inch plus hole drilled to accommodate the thin conduit.
A smart looking, quiet interior unit is mounted wherever you like. One outdoor unit can connect up to four room interior units. Proper ductless mini split heat pump installation includes correct sizing to protect against air leakage. I have posted a video for you to see how cost effect and extrememly effiecient the Daikin Ductless Mini Split Heat Pump is. Remember green is also the color of your money being saved!!!

Trane Extended Warranties Important?
Tuesday, June 15th, 2010
Good Morning my Gresham HVAC Customers!!!!
We all hate to hear that sentence from your local sales person ” Would you like to purchase the extended warranty” and if you are like me I am usually totally annoyed and say no thank you. Well, this is one of those times where it is helpful, smart, and cost effective.
An Extended Warranty can offer worry-free protection by adding extra years to your manufacturer’s limited warranty, or it may cover that cost of UNEXPECTED labor and refrigerant costs on covered repairs without lengthening the limited warranty.
If you are considering whether a extended warranty is right for you, call David and he will sit down and discuss your options to help YOU make the right decision for your home and family needs.
The Importance of Extended the Extended Warranty:
Mechanical Components Fail
Trane is recognized as a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of quality air conditioning products and accessories. Millions of dollars have been invested in laboratory stress tests, which allow Trane engineers to design units with minimum failure rates. However, any mechanical product is subject to failure.
Just Plain ol’ Inflation
Today’s service calls that result in repair bills may be expensive. Even though we are Comfort Zone Heating & AC strive to keep costs down, each year parts costs continue to rise. At today’s prices, one service call to replace a minor part can easily cost $100.00 or more. Imagine what these costs will be 5 or 10 years from now. With Trane’s Extended Warranty you will know your cost for total comfort – up to 10 years in advance.
Peace of Mind
When you purchase a Trane Extended Warranty agreement, you don’t have to worry about failures. Unplanned repair bills will be a thing of the past, and like any family they always come up when you have just gotten back from a long trip to Florida!!. So, to take the worry away for the term of your agreement, Trane pays the bills.
Trane Commitment to our customers
When you purchase your Extended Warranty, you are entering into an agreement with the manufacturer of your equipment – Trane. Your equipment will be serviced and repaired by Comfort Zone Heating & AC a Trane Independent dealer. Trane’s National Service Training Programs offer up-to-date knowledge of equipment and service techniques for our service crew.
If you are interested, and I know you are now because this is a long term money saving investment, please call Comfort Zone Heat at 503-667-5595 or just leave us a message on the customer comments. Have a great day Gresham Oregon HVAC customers!!!

It is the Ecobee Programmable Smart Thermostat. You have the ability to adjust the temperature of your home over the internet!! I am sure you are asking why is this so cool? Well, it has a interactive touch (looks like a standard computer) screen like that of an iPhone. The homeowner can see a range of days and have the visual representation of when your AC/Heat is going to be coming on. From the web portal you can enter your zip code in order to display the local weather. Once you do this, a weather icon will be displayed on the the Smart Thermostat and you can see the forecast for the day and week without having to turn on the tv or the computer!!!
It Does Reminders – This is a cool feature where you can be notified over email that you need to change your filters or have your furnace serviced, another money saving tip!! The Ecobee also does reports that shows how your home is reacting to the outside temp. You now have the ability to control your home temp from any location in the world via internet!!!
